Hi, I’m Roland Soedamah. Since 1998, I’ve worked as an entrepreneur with a background in civil engineering and business administration. After years of experience in the Netherlands, where I managed technical projects and consulting for public organizations, I started my Caribbean adventure in 2006 by founding engineering firm Buro CITE in Suriname.
What began as a consulting and engineering practice grew into the foundation of my current mission: delivering affordable, sustainable, and future-proof housing across the Caribbean.
In 2018, I founded Caribe Building Systems, specializing in prefab construction using concrete, steel, and foam concrete. This innovative approach makes it possible to build faster, with predictable quality and long lifespans. The structures are hurricane- and earthquake-resistant, energy-efficient, and adaptable to local conditions.
Collaboration is key. I believe the best results come from working closely with reliable partners who share our values: transparency, quality, and social responsibility. Only then can we build not just strong houses, but also strong communities.
My goal is clear: to create homes that are not only sustainable and safe but also improve livability and accessibility for a wide group of people. With trust, innovation, and cooperation, we’re building a future where everyone in the Caribbean can live in a home that provides security and comfort.
